A lot has been going on

Hello,

So I haven't posted all summer.
A lot has been going on in my life and I have just been really stressed and bummed out.
Because of this I haven't been posting anything at all because I just wanted to get everything sorted out.
I also have just found out that someone has used my email account for my blog in order to create a Facebook account, so I am currently trying to get that sorted out as well.

This summer things haven't really been going as planned, although I did get the chance to clean up my entire room, I just haven't been able to post like I had wanted to.

In a few weeks I am supposed to go back to school shopping cause I start back up the quarter on Sept. 25.
Maybe I'll show you a few things that I end up getting.

Thank You<3

Summer Lovin'

So today I decided to do a makeup look that captured the rays of the summer sun, but was also very natural and subtle looking.

In order to obtain this look i used the following products:
Since it is summer time, i used this foundation since it has SPF 55. I used this very sparingly all over my face cause I want to look natural not cakey. I am in the shade Soft Beige.
Next I just set my foundation by lightly brushing on this elf setting powder.
Using the lighter two colors at the top of this elf product I highlighted my face, under my eyes on my cheek bones and temples. It gives a natural dewy glow.
Instead of blush I used this very natural bronzer by Salty cosmetics. This is the shade Turned on In Tahiti.
Never Fails me. Mac's paintpot in painterly as a eye shadow primer.

I used four eyeshadows for this look by bare minerals. first i applied Sun Goddess(top right) it is a very pale yellow gold, Yes it does appear white but when applied it gives of a gold tint. I applied this all over my eyelid. The second color I used is True Gold(bottom left). It is exactly what it says a true gold color. I used this on the outer half of my eyelid. The third color I used is Sun(bottom right) in my crease and outer corners to give my eyes some dimension. This is a burnt orange color. And lastly I went back with the color Opal(top left) it is a very sparkly white color. I added this to my inner corners and eye brow bone.
I curled my lashes and applied Hypnose Drama Mascara by Lancome.
I lined my eyes with this brown/bronze eye liner and applied false half lashes so it gives my eye lashes a butterfly winged out effect which I think is really girly and flirty.

I finished off the look by curling my hair :)

That is really all there is to this look.

What is your go to summer look?

Hope you all enjoyed this!

Alli

Summer!!

Hello Beautiful People,

Guess what!! I'm on summer break! I have officially finished my first year at college and I am so relieved! I finished this past Friday so I took the weekend to just relax and have some long needed "me time". So I will have plenty of time to post on my blog yay!

First I am planning on cleaning out my whole entire room this week. I tend to clean out everything and donate stuff I haven't used over the year every summer so I can bring in new things or the upcoming school year. It really gives me room to change, grow up, and try new things.

Are you guys gonna be cleaning out your rooms, closets or anything this summer?

Are you gonna be trying new products or looks?

Comment your plans for summer down below :)

Vanity

Hello lovelies,

So I believe I have posted about how my mother and I share a vanity and have a whole room dedicated to makeup and getting ready in the morning. I thought you guys might be interested in seeing how we store our makeup and what kinds of makeup we have. :) So I will jump right into it!

So first off I should probably start with the top of our fireplace. Here is where we keep all of our nail polish. Starting from the left to the right We have some OPI, Forever21 nail polish, China Glaze, Haute Gel Polish, Essie, Random off brands and some drug store polishes.

Here we have an overview of the vanity. The vanity we bought off of craigslist and repainted it. Supposedly it was used on the set of The Desperate Housewives. How cool!
The drawers on the side is where we store most of our makeup, We got those from idea.

Starting from the right side of the vanity we have a vase which holds our lip liners, the cup in the back is all pencil eye liners. We have a pack of facial wipes I got from our local Daiso for only $1.50 which is a steal for how well they work.
In the center we have some Josie Maran Makeup products, Our Naked 3 Palette, and some perfume.

To the right we see some of the products that we have been using as well. Vases with our makeup brushes. Philosophy face and eye lotions. Amber Blush body lotions. Some Mac and Lancome products, and our curling iron.
On the top of our first storage unit we have more brushed and some more smell good stuffs:)
Within our first drawer we have most of our Mac products.

The second drawer is all Bare Minerals makeup, and some E.L.F dupes.
The third is pretty much the same but with our Buxom lip glosses.

Fourth is all things and everything E.L.F.
Then we have some Lancome, Laura Gheller, and Urban Decay Products.
The first cabinet of the vanity consists of all of our hair products.
The second all our our Makeup Palettes. Urban Decay, B.H. cosmetics and more.
For the first two drawers in our second storage unit we have all lip products.
The third is all eye products.
The fourth all face products.

The fifth has false lashes, and face treatments. :)

So now you have seen everything. Leave a comment if you would like me to go in depth with any of the sections I have shown you, If you want to see any reviews, If you want to see any of my favorites or what I Regret purchasing, or any looks with any of the products you have seen!

Thank You!:)

A Fresh Start

So, Home Girl is sick.... AGAIN!!!  I have been fighting off Strep for the past four weeks. I also have started up another quarter at school.

I am getting pretty bored of myself, my habits, and being sick. I decided its time for some change!

I will be fixing up the look of my blog. I am also thinking of starting up a YouTube Channel of my own! What do you guys think?!

Being in college has taken a lot out of my overall health. I went from being active in four years of tennis and healthy eating to sitting around all day munching cause I am busy with school and homework(LAZY). In the past I strictly followed Cassey's Blogilates workouts for a long time, and since I started college I haven't been into it. Since I am looking back into it I will document my progress for you as soon as I get well.

Until another day...
XOXO

Hair Dye Stripping Fail

So I have been wanting to go from a somewhat black to red hair for a while. I bough this product because it claims to remove any permanent hair color no matter how long it has been in your hair. It also claims to have enough product for at least 6 treatments.

I has no luck with this product.
1. there definitely not enough product for six treatments I didn't have enough for one and I have short hair.
2. It lightened some, not at much as i wanted, I could have lightened more if there was enough for multiple treatment applications.
and finally
3. the processing lotion to keep your hair from re-darkening made my hair re-darken quite a bit.

Maybe this just didn't work with the chemistry of my hair, but I would not recommend this product as a stripper unless maybe your hair is finer.

I had very high expectations for this product brand and for its price which it didn't come close to meeting...

On the bright side it wasn't very damaging to my hair so in a week I can probably lighten my hair with a simple, gentle, and diluted bleach solution.

Sorry Again.

I know I keep saying that I will make more post on my blog, but things have been going from bad to worse. After the last time I was sick I started to have really bad skin reactions and we couldn't figure out what I was allergic to, I had to completely cut out any form of cosmetics or beauty and hair products all together. We recently found out that I am most likely allergic to the chemicals in our laundry detergent that we were using recently, tide, so now we are mixing everything up and trying new detergents to see if the allergic reactions stop. I had wanted to post but it was so hard to stay focused since I was constantly itching, it was the worst itching sooo much but it never going away :(.

Hopefully soon we can figure out what detergent works best with my skin and I can get back to using new beauty products and posting for you guys!

My birthday is next week and my mom, friends, and I are taking a trip to Lush since that's what I wanted for my birthday. So keep a look out for an upcoming Lush haul video and more Lush posts coming up during the Month of March.
